The Sado Estuary has 50.000 hectares of protected areas with white, sandy beaches running for kilometres and flanked by dunes and cliff. You’ll even find dolphins swimming about if you look carefully, and you’ll almost certainly see flamingos, who take advantage of the low tide to feed by the banks of the river, as well as many other birds.
