Lisbon Airport is located 15 km north of downtown Lisbon in Portugal – it is the main international gateway to Portugal, a major European hub and one of the largest airports in Southern Europe. You can pick up a rental car at Lisbon Airport by visiting the car hire desks situated in the public area in the arrivals hall – you have the choice of Budget, Europcar National, Alamo. Whilst having car isn’t essential if you are staying in the city, it’s a good idea to have your own transportation of you want to venture out of the Lisbon and into the beautiful surrounding areas such as UNESCO world Heritage site Sintra.
